ESD and PINK series packing materials

Pink Poly Bag / Bubble Bag, Pink EPE Foam, Pink EPS Foam

The "PINK" series packing materials has the ability o dissipate a static charge to ground. It helps to keep the charge from building up on the package or the device. The material is called anti-static, suggesting that it will not holding a charge when rubbing each other or against other materials. The material's surface resistivity range is between 108 to 1011 OHM/m2

The surface resistance is highly depending on the environment and time being. Especially the relative humidity (R.H.) and the storage time. under high R.H. the resistance reading are likely to be lower, meaning the surface is slightly higher in conduction. On the other hand, under dry environment, the surface resistivity is likely to be higher, meaning the surface is slightly to be more insulated.

The anti-static pink series has time limitation. Usually it will hold the anti-static effect for 3 - 6 months.

We always suggest that the pink EPE foam, pink EPS foam, pink bubble bag and pink bubble sheet is used for replacing normal packaging materials holding a charge. They are mainly used for general transportation and anti-shock protection. It is recommended to use on non static sensitive material and device. If used on static sensitive device, extra protection such as ESD bag should be used first for Static Shielding.
